Ivy Business AKAdemy AKA-Nomics - Real Estate Tips and Trends AKA-Nomics - Quality of Life Public Relations Project Management Ivy Reading AKAdemy of Gamma Zeta Omega The Ivy AKAdemy serves as a comprehensive center for all the educational and human resources development experiences for most community services programs provided by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Participants are youth and adults from the entire community. The Signature Program is “The Ivy Reading AKAdemy of Gamma Zeta Omega.” The reading initiative focuses on early learning and mastery of basic reading skills by the end of third grade. All chapters are requested to implement a kindergarten through third grade after school reading initiative. Gamma Zeta Omega is paving the way with its astonishing Ivy Reading AKAdemy “Growing Better Readers” program by helping the 1st and 3rd graders develop better reading skills. We are using an individualized computer reading program that matches to each student’s unique needs. The ladies of Gamma Zeta Omega graciously give their time and energy by volunteering as tutors on a weekly basis. This outstanding program is delivering dramatic results and giving hope to so many students. Ivy Rosettes The Ivy Rosettes is a service group of high school young ladies in grades ninth through twelfth of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties annually participating in community service, cultural, educational, self-enhancement, fundraising, social and spiritual activities from September to May. The purpose is to help cultivate and encourage high scholastic achievement among high school ladies, provide opportunities to interact with adults who will serve as role models and encourage high moral standards, provide activities to stimulate personal growth and enhance ethnic pride, and increase the awareness of opportunities to serve in the community.
